Mission

Hampton Animal Control is the animal control agency for the City of Hampton. Animal Control enforces city and state animal-related ordinances, provides education to citizens on responsible pet ownership, issues summonses for ordinance violations, secures warrants and can impound and seize animals. Animal control officers Investigate complaints of animal cruelty, neglect, inadequate care, animal exposures, vicious animals, sick or injured animals, and strays.

Hampton Animal Control’s mission is to provide an effective and cost efficient animal control program through active enforcement of federal, state and local ordinances; to pick up stray animals, and to protect people and animals through the promotion and enforcement of responsible pet ownership.
