City Licenses

• All dogs and cats 4 months of age and older residing in Hampton are required to have a current city license.
• Licenses are required by January 1 of each year and are good for one year.
• You can purchase a Hampton city license from the Hampton City Treasurer's office located at 1 Franklin Street in downtown Hampton.
• Present your animal's rabies certificate to the City Treasurer showing a current rabies vaccination as well as proof of having had the animal spayed of neutered if it is altered (not a requirement to obtain a license.
• Fees: $10.00 for unaltered dog or cat
  $4.00 for altered dog or cat
