City Licenses
- All dogs and cats 4 months of age and older residing in Hampton are required to have a current city license.
- Licenses are required by January 1 of each year and are good for one year.
- You can purchase a Hampton city license from the City Treasurer’s Office located at
One Franklin Street in downtown Hampton.
- Present your animal’s rabies certificate from a licensed veterinarian to the City Treasurer’s Office as well as proof of having had the animal spayed or neutered if it is altered (not a requirement to obtain a license).
- Fees: $10 for unaltered dog or cat; $4 for altered dog or cat
