Thank you for…

  • Picking up after your pet - Pet feces can potentially harbor bacteria and many diseases that are transmittable to humans. Thank you for scooping the poop during Fido's walks!
  • Calling in complaints - Animal Control can not be everywhere at once, so it's important to us when someone like you calls in a valid concern. It may be a stray dog, or even a case of cruelty. Either way, we appreciate your attention.
  • Putting identification tags on your pet - It helps us out immeasurably to be able to locate the owner of a dog or cat that may have accidentally slipped away from home.
  • Vaccinating your pet - As you know, it is important to your pets' health to be kept up-to-date on vaccinations.
  • Keeping your pet licensed - By law, all cats & dogs over the age of 4 months have to be licensed. It is so much easier on us to see your pets' city license displayed on their collar.
  • Being neighborly - Sometimes, neighbors' can have mild disagreements over pets. Not everyone likes animals. Some citizens think it's fine if their dogs walk themselves, even though others can become terrified at the mere sight of Fluffy. We'd like to thank you for trying to talk to your neighbors' about their cat or your dog before contacting us. A mere knock on the door and a calm attitude works wonders.
