Volunteer Program
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Bluebird Gap Farm. We have a real need for enthusiastic volunteers. Please take the time to fill out the enclosed forms, and either mail them in, or bring them by the Farm. This information will help us get a better idea of your interests and time availability.
We have a variety of areas in which volunteers can assist. These areas include landscaping, animal feeding and cleaning, horse grooming, educational public programming, carpentry projects, secretarial assistance, and more. Please specify your particular area(s) of interest. You will be required to attend a short orientation on your first scheduled day of work.
Volunteers can report to work anytime Wednesday through Sunday; we do not call or schedule volunteer times.
Volunteers must be at least 13 years old to volunteer at the farm. If the volunteer is 13-15 years old, we require the parent or guardian to stay at the farm while the volunteer is working, and the volunteer is limited to working two hours each day. If the volunteer is 16-17 years old, we encourage the parent or guardian to stay at the farm while the volunteer is working, and the volunteer is limited to working four hours each day. Volunteers are able to work Wednesday through Sunday, from 9:00am to 4:30pm.
