FEATURES  The Downtown Hampton Development Partnership Marketing Committee has developed a NEW Advertising Grant Program. The program is designed to benefit all the businesses in the Downtown Business Improvement District and is not exclusive to retail shops or restaurants. Funds will be allocated quarterly to this program and it is designed to support print, radio, cable, television, and website advertising. The career development specialists at Peninsula Worklink have created a new level of service for their clients which is based on teamwork, efficiency, concentration of resources, and experience. The program is called WISC or Workforce Interpersonal Skills Certification. Each client is provided intensive, staff assisted core service through participation in a three day, 18 hour, training program resulting in a skills certificate in job seeking competency. The program was developed by the eleven career development specialists using the collective years of experience and knowledge of the staff in helping jobseekers achieve full-time employment. Visit
