International Children's Festival Program

This year marked the 11th anniversary of the International Children’s Festival held on April 16 in downtown Hampton. This unique festival provides an opportunity for children and adults alike to experience and learn from cultures from across the globe. In this program, viewers can relive the excitement as local families explore the world from right here in Hampton.

On this edition of Spotlight on Citizens, Hampton City Council recognizes Antonio Brown and Jaequan Mabry, two young men who answered an unexpected call for help; long-time Hampton business owner Alfred Benton Knight and local volunteer Leroy Crosby. The program also includes an update on Hampton's Sister City program and introduces Ji Hee "Brianna" Hong, an exchange student from South Korea currently at Hampton High School.

City Council Meetings

Hampton City Council meetings will now begin at 7:00PM (instead of 7:30PM) on the second Wednesday of every month.  There will only be one evening council meeting every month unless a special meeting is scheduled.  Afternoon work sessions will now take place at 1:00PM (instead of 2:00PM) on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month.  Typically, these meetings are televised live on Hampton City Channel 47 and are simulcast on this website at: www.hampton.gov/council/council_meetings.html
