FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 23, 2011 Hampton Minority Business Performs Major Role in the Bin Laden Mission
Among the attack helicopters used in the Bin Laden Mission carried by the U.S. Forces in Pakistan were Apache Helicopters. Eagle Enterprises (founded by Ken and Sheila Johnson) based in Hampton is one of the only two authorized distributors in the world of spare parts to the U.S. Government for use on the Apache Helicopter. Eagle Enterprises was started in January 2005 as a home based business and later moved into the Hampton University Incubator. In 2009, Eagle Enterprises moved its operations to a commercial space in Copeland Industrial Park. Eagle Enterprises supplies military aircraft spare parts and has been awarded over 941 contracts. Ken and Sheila Johnson; owners of Eagle Enterprises will be recognized with a Department of Defense (DOD) Supplier of Excellence Award for 2010 on June 29, 2011.
