SNOWFALL GUARANTEED AT PENINSULA TOWN CENTER THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

~ More than 25 landscaped areas to be covered with
high quality artificial snow starting November 17 ~

Hampton, VA - Whether it snows or not this holiday season, the white stuff will be on the ground at Peninsula Town Center (PTC).

Magical Solutions, Inc. from Virginia Beach is producing this first-time event at PTC, which will turn the center into a Winter Wonderland and invite guests to enjoy snowfalls throughout the season. They’ve hired Snow Business, a London-based company that has been making snow and winter effects for films, TV and events worldwide for more than 25 years, to provide high-quality artificial snow that will cover Town Square, Marys Park and more than 25 other landscaped areas beginning November 20.

This is the first time this event concept has been implemented on such a large scale in Virginia.

Guests can stand beneath the artificial snow as it falls onto Town Square on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., or at Marys Park any day from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The machines producing the falling snow were last used in the 2010 Winter Olympics, earlier this year.

The "snow" will be on the ground Saturday, November 20 during the annual Coliseum Central Holiday Parade, which will pass through PTC. The parade, sponsored by PTC, includes a float carrying Santa Claus and runs from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. There will be horsedrawn carriage rides along the streets of PTC from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. that afternoon, as well as from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Dec 10 and from noon to 4:00 p.m. on December 19.

In addition, costumed holiday characters will be strolling in Town Square periodically throughout the season, and workshops for children will be scheduled to celebrate "The Chronicles of Narnia III," which opens at CinéBistro on December 10.
