- Station 7's primary district includes residential, (both single-family and large apartment complexes), large and small commercial, and light industrial occupancies.

- Station #8 was built in the mid 1960's.
- Located at NASA Langley Research Center, the nation's oldest research facility and first civil aeronautics laboratory, Station # 8 provides fire and EMS protection for its district, which includes NASA and residential and commercial properties in the north end of the city.
- It also provides mutual aid for neighboring Poquoson and Langley Air Force Base.
- In 1973, NASA contracted out its Fire and EMS services to the City of Hampton.
- Staffing consists of 23 personnel covering 3 shifts.

- Dedicated October 8, 1975, Station # 9 was originally designed and built as the city's training center, as well a functioning firehouse.
- Today Station # 9 still has training activities assigned to its location but is no longer the city's training headquarters.
- Its district includes a major industrial district, heavy commercial district, and moderately populated residential district.
- Located in the southwest corner of the city, Station # 9 has a four door drive through apparatus bay with training tower, S.C.B.A. training maze, fire pumper testing facility, and garage housing S.C.B.A. compressor/cascade filling station, making # 9 one of the city's most versatile firehouses.

- Station # 10 opened in 1986 making it the City's newest fire station.
- Interstate 64 and 664 run through the district.
- The district also includes retail and commercial occupants, multi-family dwellings, retirement facilities, health care facilities, nursing homes and physician offices.
