Asset # 16 - High Expectations.
No one rises to low expectations" Les Brown

It's often quicker and easier to do things for kids than to let them do things themselves. Doing this shows them we don't expect much of them. Instead, demonstrate and wait. Be Realistic. Match all or parts of a task to the age of the child. Be patient and willing to accept imperfection. With repetition and encouragement, over time, a young person's ability to handle tasks independently will meet your expectations.
