Parents want to give their children everything but that's not always best for a child's motivation and values - especially when it comes to money. Kids can avoid developing that "the world owes me" when they are taught to earn what they receive and to appreciate what they have. Learning good money management skills prevents young people from thinking that "money grows on trees". Material wealth will never replace firm, loving parenting.
