Often you'll hear someone say "We need to pay attention to the young people because they are our future." We are better asset builders when we acknowledge and treat them as our now. Young people become empowered through sharing decisions. Self reliance results from their contributing to acts of service and leadership. Communities are healthier and more vibrant when youth are engaged in meaningful activities with adults. With kids in your community make a list of what would be "meaningful" where you live.
