1971 Hall of Fame Inductee

An All-State end at Hampton High School, he was voted top All-Time Center at The University of North Carolina before becoming star linebacker for the Washington Redskins. Considered "too small" for professional football at just 218 pounds, he played in Pro Bowls in 1966, 1967, 1968 and 1969.
