Douglas S. Dickinson
1982 Hall of Fame Inductee

A product of Newport News High School, he was one of Virginia's all-time greats in track and field, ruling as state champion in 29 events in his prep career. He also excelled in football. In his senior year state track meet, he was credited with one of the "single greatest performances ever." He led Penn State freshmen to an undefeated season, but foot injuries cut short his college career. At Christopher Newport College, he won coach-of-the-year honors twice in Dixie Conference (1978 and 1979).
