Herman "Bucky" Keller
2008 Hall of Fame Inductee

Before graduating from Newport News High School in 1958, Keller led the Typhoon to three straight state basketball championships and was named state player of the year three times. He also earned football all-state honors at quarterback. At Virginia Tech, he averaged 18.2 points a game for his career. The Los Angeles Lakers drafted him in 1962, but he decided not to turn professional. At Newport News, his 1,880 points was second-best in state history at the time.
