One of the most successful high school football coaches in Virginia's history, his teams won more than 200 games during his 30-year career. He coached four Virginia High School League Championship Teams at Hampton High School, and sent numerous players into the college and professional banks. He played college football at the College of William & Mary and is a member of the William & Mary Hall of Fame.
