Robert Banks 2005 Hall of Fame Inductee Robert Banks was called "The Enforcer". He led Hampton High School to state football championships in 1980 and 1981, and to 35 straight victories. The Associated Press named him all-state at offensive tackle and defensive end and the state defensive players of the year in 1981 and 1982. The Columbus Touchdown Club selected Banks as its national high school player of the year in 1982. He played linebacker and defensive end at Notre Dame, then played five seasons in the National Football League with Houston and Cleveland. |
