Steve Stanaway began his wrestling career at Warwick High School. In 1962, he became a powerlifter. He set state records in bench, dead lift and squat at the 1968 State Powerlifting Championship and his total was a state record. But it is arm wrestling that has become his passion. Since 1969, he was won more than 200 tournaments, 14 American Armsport Association national titles, 7 World Open titles and 3 masters crowns. Steve has won titles in 11 countries on five continents and is the only arm wrestler to win AAA Open titles in five different decades.
