2005 Hall of Fame Inductee

Terry Kirby graduated from Tabb High School in 1989 as the most prolific running back in state history. His 104 touchdowns, 36 career 100-yard games and 7,428 rushing yards were state records. He was named national player of the year in 1988 by Parade Magazine and the Gatorade Circle of Champions. And he played on Tabb's 1987 Group AA state championship team. Kirby was an all-around athlete. He played baseball, scored 2,246 points in basketball and ran on the state championship 400-meter relay team in track. He played football at the University of Virginia, followed by 10 seasons in the National Football League with Miami, San Francisco, Cleveland, and Oakland.
