Healthy Families Partnership is a multi-agency,
community-wide effort to make the city of Hampton a
healthy and nurturing place in which to raise children.

The Healthy Families Partnership
works toward its ultimate goal: to ensure that
every child in Hampton is born healthy and enters school
ready to learn through:
As part of that process,
other ongoing goals include:

Promoting
optimal child development and preventive care during
early childhood.

Enhancing
parenting skills and parent-child bonding and
interaction.

Improving
family functioning by teaching problem-solving skills,
building trusting relationships and improving family
support systems.

Reducing
undesirable health outcomes such as poor immunization
rates, child abuse and neglect and repeat teenage
pregnancies.
