About the Authority

The Industrial Development Authority of the City of Hampton, Virginia (IDA) is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, created pursuant to the Section 15.2-4900, as amended, of the Code of Virginia. A 7-Member Board of Directors appointed by the Hampton City Council governs the IDA and in which all powers of the authority shall be vested. The IDA meets on the third Tuesday of every month. IDA meetings are held in the IDA Conference Room.
