Dr. Alvin Bryant Day

Hampton Mayor Molly Joseph Ward and John Gately, Chairman of the Hampton Military Affairs Committee, surprised Dr. Alvin Bryant and his wife Sandy with a November 11th office-visit to present a proclamation declaring November 11th "Veterans Day and Dr. Alvin Bryant Day" in the City of Hampton. Dr. Bryant is a retired Major General of the US Army Reserve and had served as Chairman of the Military Affairs Committee since its inception in September 2004, until personal issues prompted his recent resignation. Dr. Bryant is a well recognized leader in numerous civic and advocacy groups for the local military and their families and for American veterans.
