Hampton MAC Attends Freedom Walk

After sponsoring an 8:00AM, September 11th, 2009 "Day of Remembrance and Hope" commemoration at Gosnold's Hope Park, the Hampton Military Affairs Committee (MAC) participated in Operation Homefront Hampton Roads' annual "Freedom Walk" to honor those who were killed on September 11, 2001 and to express appreciation to emergency workers. City Councilwoman Angela Leary, a founder of "Days of Remembrance and Hope" and continuing contributor to those annual observances, also participated in the walk and offered the City of Hampton's welcome to the assembled participants.
