COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
Community Checkpoint Meeting Attracts Over 100 ResidentsOn March 8 over 100 residents attended a meeting to give input on the update effort of Hampton’s Community Plan. The effort has been underway for the last five months with ten focus groups – waterways, economic base, good government, community appearance, public safety, education, diverse populations, community health, housing and the environment – meeting to revise the five-year-old plan. The groups, which are made up of neighborhood leaders, business owners, youth, city leaders, staff and other residents, presented summaries of their work to-date and listened to feedback from the public.
