Crystal Lakes is a condominium community in the midst of nearby Coliseum Central District, the heart of the retail center for Hampton, where the Hampton Roads Power Plant is located and close to Interstate 64. Crystal Lakes consists of 84 units that include garden and townhouse type units built around the concept of a lakeside community. The community includes a diverse population of retired senior, couples, single persons and students. A five member Board of Directors governs Crystal Lakes. The Board has engaged the community in several projects around the issues of safety, creating a sense of community and access to the lake as the focal point for its residents.

The condominium community is centered around mature pines and extensive landscaping that includes a picnic area and water views from second-floor balconies. Monthly condominium fees are estimated at $124.

Crystal Lakes was built in the late 80s and early 90s. The units range in size from 741-square-feet to more than 1200-square feet. Early resales of the units ranged from the low $40,000 to mid $50,000. But current resales of the units are selling in the upper $90,000, and in some cases, to more than $100,000.
