Directions
Factory Point is located at the furthest most northern point of Grandview Nature Preserve, 37° 06'21.70"N - 76° 17'24.89"W. Grandview Nature Preserve is located at I-64 exit 263A onto Mercury Boulevard. Take left onto Foxhill Road. Follow to Beach Road and make a left. Follow to end and make a left onto State Park Drive. The Nature Preserve is straight ahead. Factory Point Can Only Be Reached By Foot Or Boat.Hours of Operation
The Nature Preserve is open year round from sunrise to sunset daily. This includes Factory Point. Some areas are closed from April 1 to September 15. Please refer to the Factory Point map. All guests must leave the Grandview Nature Preserve by sunset.
Features
Grandview Nature Preserve & Factory Point form the northeast corner of the city of Hampton. The Preserve covers over 475 acres of salt marsh, tidal creeks, and Chesapeake Bay beachfront. The Preserve is open to the public, but has limited parking along State Park Drive. The Preserve is a great location to beach comb, observe the migratory birds and discover the wonders of wetlands.
Rules
All City, State and Federal Laws apply to Grandview Nature Preserve & Factory Point. There is NO alcohol, camping or tents allowed. There are also NO open fires, grills or motorized vehicles allowed. Pets are banned April 1 - September 15th. Please stay off the dunes and out of posted bird nesting areas. Entering into designated posted bird nesting areas is a violation of law. All laws are strictly enforced. This area is patrolled by City, State and Federal Law Enforcement officers. Any violations observed will be enforced.
Litter
Factory Point and Grandview Nature Preserve shall be maintained free of litter, pet waste and any other undesirable materials. There are no trash receptacles on Factory Point or inside Grandview Nature Preserve. It is asked that whatever litter you bring in, you take out. Please help us keep these facilities litter free.
