Hours of Operation:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Closed Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Additional hours for special programs and activities will be posted.

Directions:
From 64 take LaSalle Avenue exit 265A. Proceed to the sixth traffic light and turn right onto Kecoughtan Road. The Senior Center is two blocks down at the corner of Kecoughtan and Cherokee. (On LaSalle proceed south four traffic lights from Pembroke, three traffic lights from Settlers Landing Road, two traffic lights from Shell Road, or one traffic light from Victoria Boulevard to Kecoughtan).

Features
The center provides a wide variety of programs and activities for senior adults. Please wear proper footwear and attire for participation in all fitness programs.

Club Scene:
  • The Timeless Fashions - A club designed to provide members with modeling techniques, beauty care, self improvement tips and professional modeling. The group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 12:00 Noon.
  • The Lunch Bunch - Meet new people and explore local eateries around town at this monthly outing. No registration required. Call for location. Lunch meeting held the First Friday of each month at 12:30PM.

Fitness and Exercise:
  • Line Dance - Learn and develop line dancing skills and get in shape while moving to the beat. The fun atmosphere will bring a smile while pumping your heart to fitness. Community performances are provided by the group upon request. Line Dance I for basics is held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM. Line Dance II, designed for those with prior experience, is held on Wednesdays at 1:00PM. Both classes are open to all.
  • Square Dancing - Learn the basics and more of square dancing. Join the Hobson Team of instructors for some jubilant fun and good exercise to boot. Performances scheduled upon invitation. Held Mondays 12-2PM.
  • Seniorcise - Instructor led a low impact chair exercise program for the mature adult geared toward keeping you fit and flexible. Held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00AM.
  • Walk Away the Pounds - Get fit with this total body workout walking program. Video instruction for 1-4 miles for muscle conditioning and more. Held Monday-Fridays at 9:00AM.
  • Power Angels - Join this 4-mile walking programs for increased power, cardio fitness and enjoy the socialization and fun. Video instruction workout held on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:00AM.
  • Bowling All-Starzz - Just for the fun if it come out and bowl a round in a smoke free atmosphere at the Spare Times Alley. Non-league play on Mondays, 1-2:30PM.

Learning and Travel:
  • Day and Overnight Trips - Includes local plays, museums, historical sites such as Monticello, mystery trips and other excursions to inviting locations around town and across the country. Upcoming plans for 2010 include Dover Downs, San Antonio, Texas and Italy.
