• Must be a United States citizen.
• Graduated from an accredited high school or successfully completed a GED.
• Must be courteous yet firm with the public.
• Must be alert, and possess ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
• Must be observant and possess good memory skills.
• Must have excellent moral character, to include no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
• Must be in excellent health and physical condition.
• Must pass City paid background check to include a polygraph examination, a psychological evaluation, and/or a physical examination, depending upon position .
• Must possess or be able to possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
• Must have a favorable credit report.
• Successfully complete all elements of the selection process.
