2007 Equity Diversity Conference

The annual 2007 Equity Diversity Conference will take place November 2nd through November 4th at the Hampton Holiday Inn. Hosted by the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue, this conference will increase the awareness of cultural diversity, improve human relations and foster equal opportunities in a modern multicultural workforce.

The theme of the conference this year is "Combining Elements to Fuel Change" and will focus will on leveraging the differences present in the workforce to create a more cohesive work environment. Conference participants will walk away with constructive ideas applicable to their organizations' future and their personal lives as well.

Featured speakers include retired Phoenix Fire Chief Alan Brunacini, Washington DC Fire Department Fire Chief Dennis Rubin, retired Law Enforcement State Police Officer Gordon Graham, Hampton City Attorney Cynthia Hudson, and U.S. Fire Administrator Chief Gregory B. Cade.

While this conference is hosted by the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue, conference topics are applicable to any work environment and therefore, all are invited to attend especially equal employment and law enforcement officers, human, resource manages, public, federal, private, military employees, college students and fire personnel (career and volunteer).
