Hampton Opens Emergency Operations Center

Hampton activated the Emergency Operations Center at 7:30 a.m. this morning in response to the rising flood levels and impending freezing rain and/or snow predicted for this evening. City departments are continuing to monitor the situation as it develops.

Residents should also be alert for rising waters today peaking around 11:00 a.m. and proceed with caution. Potential for ice patches due to weather conditions will make for difficult road conditions this evening. Citizens are encouraged to proceed with caution.

Hampton golf courses have been closed for today due to flooding.
