Brand New "Bach's" Lunch Concert Series

During Fridays in October, don't forget the "pop" in your next lunch. In fact, at "Bach's" Lunch Concert Series at Mill Point Park in downtown Hampton, there's plenty of free "pop" to go around ... and jazz ... and folk.
Beginning Friday, October 9, Hampton Parks & Recreation will host the Bach's Lunch Concert Series, a brand new event taking place on four Fridays in October. Starting at Noon and running until 2:00 p.m., attendees will hear everything from R&B, Swing and Soul to Rock, Beach and Reggae.
For those interested in ordering a boxed lunch, try Java Junkies at 757.722.6300, La Bodega at 757.722.8466, The Grey Goose at 757.723.7978, or The Phoebus Coffee House at 757.224.8406. Each establishment will deliver the lunches to Mill Point Park and have them ready by the time the music starts. All orders must be placed and pre-paid by noon the Thursday before each concert.
The Bach's Lunch Concert Series Schedule is as follows:
Friday, October 9 - HM Johnson Band
Spanning the years 1950-2004 and covering styles such as R&B, Funk, Pop, Jump, Swing, Soul, Beach, Reggae, Blues, Jazz and Rock & Roll.
Friday, October 23 - Skylark Trio
Swinging, sophisticated Jazz music.
Friday, October 30 - Mike Proffitt Duo
The likes of Santana, James Taylor, and Eric Clapton are felt in the soulful array of Proffitt's material.
Friday, November 6 - Warren Seaburg Duo
Performing on acoustic guitar Warren goes from the finger-styling's of James Taylor to the Buffet standards on acoustic guitar before switching to tinges of trop-rock, trop-jazz and blues.
