Burn Ban in Effect in Hampton

Due to the severe drought conditions and the associated increased risk of fire danger, open burning in the city of Hampton is prohibited. This ban includes burn barrels, recreational fires, and established fire pits on public or private property.

The exception to this ban is the use of gas and propane self-contained stoves, barbecues and/or grills.

The ban will remain in effect until weather conditions improve.
