Development Grows in Downtown

Hampton is undergoing a period of major investment in its downtown area. Current development in downtown includes the Heritage at Settlers Landing featuring 140 luxury apartments. All buildings are open for occupancy.

In addition, Wilson's Landing on Eaton Street, consisting of 30 residential units, is slated to open on October 30.

There are also two upscale hotel products coming to the downtown area. The former City Hall building will become upscale corporate extended stay lodging, scheduled to be completed by June 2008. The former Post Office building will be transformed into an 100 room upscale boutique hotel, with construction slated to begin in spring of 2008.
