William Greeves Selected as Director of Information Technology

William Greeves has been selected as the new Director of Information Technology for Hampton, effective November 13.

Greeves holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Old Dominion University. Prior to his position with the city, Greeves was the Public Information Coordinator for the City of Virginia Beach. He also held positions as Virginia Beach's city webmaster and Information Systems Project Manager and Publications Manager with LifeNet in Virginia Beach.

As the Director of Information Technology, Greeves will develop, implement, and direct the information technology efforts for Hampton city government to include responsibility for information technology infrastructure, networks, communications, telephone systems, websites, office automation systems and, PCs and management of the portfolio of software systems. Greeves will also advise City Manager's staff and city department managers on information technology systems, direct and supervise a centralized program of records management, oversee printing and graphic reproducing, mail services, and research management information.
