FEMA Offering Instruction in Lessening Future Flood Damage

Federal and Commonwealth emergency response officials are teaming up with Home Depot to provide information on rebuilding stronger after the flooding caused by the November Nor'easter / remnants of Tropical Depression IDA. Officials from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), and the Departments of Emergency Management from the cities of Hampton and Newport News will be on hand at two local Home Depot stores. They will explain techniques that can lessen damage to homes, businesses and property from future flooding. Teams will be available at the following locations:
