Appointees to Fort Monroe Reuse
Planning Committee Named

March 3, 2006

The Hampton Federal Area Development Authority (FADA) has named the participants on its Planning Steering Committee which will play a key role in the Fort Monroe reuse planning process throughout the coming year.

"Through this committee's diverse composition, it will ensure a significant regional and even a national voice in determining the future of Fort Monroe," said Robert R. Harper, Jr., Federal Area Development Authority Chair.

In the coming year, the firm that will guide the community through the planning process will work closely with the Steering Committee as they evaluate public input and other data associated with the reuse plan. Ultimately, the Steering Committee will make a recommendation to the Federal Area Development Authority for the reuse plan for Fort Monroe.

It is the FADA that will ultimately adopt the Fort Monroe Reuse Plan.
