| WHAT: |
City of Hampton, Human Resources invites submissions for a new Policy and Programs Manual Logo. We are looking for an eye catching symbol that represents the Human Resources Mission Statement. This logo will be displayed on the Policy and Procedure Manual.
The Department of Human Resources Mission Statement:
Fosters a culture that encourages and values diversity and promotes personal and professional development. Administers a comprehensive human resources management system which includes attracting, developing, and retaining a highly qualified, continuously learning workforce. Partners with our customers to achieve the City's strategic plan and customer delight.

The contest is open to Hampton school students (grades 9-12) and students enrolled in colleges and universities in the City of Hampton. |
| WHEN: |
Entries must be submitted on the City of Hampton Logo Contest Entry form and be received by Monday, March 19, 2007. |

| JUDGES: |
The winning entry will be selected by members of the Town and Gown Committee, a board comprised of representatives from the City of Hampton, Hampton University, Hampton City Schools, Hampton Businesses and Hampton Citizens. |
| PRIZES: |
The winning logo will be displayed on the cover of the City's Department of Human Resources' Policy and Program Manual and featured on the Human Resources' website.
The student submitting the winning entry will be invited to attend a Hampton City Council meeting to receive recognition.
The student will receive two tickets to the event of their choice at the Hampton Coliseum or the American Theatre. The student will also receive a $50.00 gift certificate.
