Mayor's 2008 Civic Improvement Awards

At the Mayor's Civic Improvement Awards ceremony held December 16, Mayor Molly Joseph Ward recognized Hampton businesses and organizations for their efforts to improve the visual appearance of the city through landscaping, building improvements, and other beautification efforts.

The 2008 recipients are Boo Williams Sportsplex, Chick-fil-A (Coliseum Drive), Chick-fil-A (Market Place), Coker Dermatology, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Darling Stadium, El Pollo Loco, Greater Emmanuel Temple Church of God in Christ, Hampton Inn Hotel, I & O Medical Center, Langley Federal Credit Union, McDonald's Restaurant, Peninsula Honda, River Street Park, and Springhill Suites.

This recognition effort, initiated 25 years ago, stresses that pride in our community is the cornerstone of a healthy and vibrant city. More than 400 businesses and organizations have received Mayor's Civic Improvement Awards since the program's creation.
