Dedication and Re-Opening of Mill Point Dock

On Saturday, October 14 at 2:30 p.m. the public is invited to attend the dedication and re-opening of the Mill Point Dock.

As a result of Hurricane Isabel the pier was significantly damaged with the separation of decking and railings from the piling foundations. The City of Hampton applied for a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) and received reimbursement funds to rebuild the pier.

Tidewater Dockmasters of Hampton, Virginia rebuilt the pier over the past summer.
