Spend 'A Saturday with Santa' at Peninsula Town Center
Center to Host Holiday Event Following
Coliseum Central's Parade on November 22
Even in the midst of construction, Peninsula Town Center (PTC) is making plans for the 2008 Holiday Season – in a big way.
Not only has the center made a three-year commitment to act as title sponsor of the Coliseum Central Business Improvement District’s annual holiday parade, but it will also host a free outdoor event for families to enjoy following this year’s parade festivities.
During “A Saturday with Santa,” which will take place on Saturday, November 22 from noon until 4 p.m., families and children will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, and parents are welcome to bring cameras and take photos. And for those who are curious about what’s happening at PTC, the event will also feature free horse drawn carriage rides around the property.
A Saturday with Santa, which is free and open to the public, will take place in a large tent in the parking lot near J.C. Penney on Coliseum Drive immediately after the parade.
The Coliseum Central Holiday Parade has been a major event in Hampton for 10 years. Last year, the parade attracted more than 17,000 people from throughout Hampton Roads and featured 75 holiday-themed units.
The parade will end with the final PTC sponsored float carrying Santa Claus. As in previous years, the Santa float will also feature live entertainment by the Dixie Land Band.
