Hampton's Sister City Offers Opportunity to Teach Abroad

Anyang, South Korea is offering individuals the special opportunity to experience Korean culture first-hand through its Foreign Assistant Teacher program.

The City of Hampton has maintained a harmonious Sister City relationship with Anyang since June 16, 1989. This ongoing friendship has allowed the two cities to build people-to-people connections and promote cultural understanding. Hampton and Anyang are pursuing similar plans regarding education and workforce development. As a result, the City of Hampton would like to share this opportunity for individuals to teach English in Anyang through the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education.

Participants will work in collaboration with Korean educators, teaching in primary and middle schools within Anyang City. The program is open to individuals with various levels of teaching experience and education. Participants will receive a salary and benefits including housing assistance, paid leave, and health insurance coverage.
