CITY OF HAMPTON LAUNCHES WEB-BASED
SMALL BUSINESS DIRECTORY

Hampton, VA - The City of Hampton's Department of Economic Development along with the Procurement Office and Information Technology have developed a searchable, web-based Small Business Directory.

The information provided in the directory is to assist with identifying small businesses within the Hampton Roads region for contracting opportunities. The information can be searched by business type, city location and description of work.

The directory is one of many strategies identified in the recently adopted Minority and Woman-Owned Business Program Plan to increase solicitation and utilization of minority and women-owned businesses. The plan in its entirety can be viewed at www.hampton/ed/minority_business_office.html.

Certified Small, Woman and Minority (SWAM) vendors can be included in the City of Hampton's Small Business Directory by contacting the Minority Business Coordinator within the Department of Economic Development at 757-727-6237.
