Three New Buildings Emerge at Peninsula Town Center
December 30, 2008
Progress at Peninsula Town Center (PTC) continues to move very quickly as three new buildings are now under construction. Within the past six weeks, construction has begun on Buildings G, L and M, all of which are located near Macy's on the southwest end of the property. These buildings will house retail and restaurants.
The following are complete updates on these new buildings and other PTC buildings:

Buildings A1 & A2 - (Liner structures on the front of Macy's that will feature a variety of retail stores) - Both of these structures are very close to completion, with the Certificate of Occupancy pending.
Building B - (The project's principal residential structure on second, third, and fourth floors above retail to feature 158 luxury apartments) - As of mid-December, the roofing and mechanical-electrical-plumbing installations were complete, along with 70% of the exterior paint. Cabinetry and countertop installations have begun on all floors. Hard hat tours and pre-leasing options are available now; the units will open for move-in on April 1, 2009.
Buildings D & E - (Buildings located in the center of the property that will house retail and restaurants) - As of mid-December, interior framing, drywall, doors and mechanical-electrical-plumbing installations are complete while bathrooms and canopies were nearing completion.
Building F - (Will house the Barnes & Noble store on its bottom floor and offices above) - In November, significant progress was made on the interior build-out, including the framing, drywall and mechanical-electrical-plumbing installations. The interior lobby is nearly complete, and exterior signage has been installed. Barnes & Noble is expected to open in March 2009.
Building G - (A two-story, 130,000 square foot building that will house retail, restaurants and entertainment venues) - The building permit was received and construction began in November, including the pouring of the foundation and concrete columns.
Building H - (A three-story building consisting of first floor retail and second and third floor office space) - The roof is close to completion, progress is being made on the exterior paint and mechanical-electrical-plumbing installations, exterior brick detailing has continued, and window installations are near completion.
Building J - (Will be occupied by Lenscrafters and other small tenants) - This structure is almost complete with a Certificate of Occupancy currently pending.
Buildings L & M - (These two one-story buildings, which are being constructed between Buildings G and H, will be outfit for retail and restaurants) - Construction began in October, and as of mid-December, the roofing and mechanical-electrical-plumbing installations are nearly complete. Exterior masonry has also begun on Building L.
North Parking Garage - (This structure, which can be seen from Cunningham Drive, is complete) - Construction of the bridge that will connect the garage to the residential units (Building B) will begin soon.
Target - (This building, which will be a new prototype design for the Target chain, is located at the South end of the property) - Significant construction progress can be seen from West Mercury Boulevard. The project remains on schedule for a summer 2009 opening.
