Hampton Waterway Management
Meeting to Be Held November 30


The meeting for the Hampton Comprehensive Waterway Management Plan steering committee is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.

The City Council-appointed committee has been charged by the Council to work with the community to identify public concerns, potential policies, community priorities and possible funding sources for a comprehensive planning approach for waterway management. This effort will include exploration of strategies for shoreline protection, storm water management, dredging, tidal flooding and water quality improvement regulations.

This first meeting will include committee review of past technical studies and the community-wide public involvement. The meeting is open to the public and the agenda includes time for observers to make comments and ask questions.
