CITY OF HAMPTON
COLLECTION SCHEDULE - PRESIDENTS' DAY 2012 - February 20
RECYCLING, REFUSE, BULK TRASH AND YARD WASTE
- There will be NO regular recycling, refuse, bulk trash and yardwaste collection in the City of Hampton on Monday, February 20 in observance of PRESIDENTS' DAY.
- These items will be collected on Wednesday, February 22.
LANDFILL AND YARDWASTE SITE
- The Landfill on North Park Lane will be OPEN normal operating hours.
- The yard waste site adjacent to North Park Lane will be CLOSED on Monday, February 20.
SWEEPING SCHEDULE
- There will be NO street sweeping in the City of Hampton on on Monday, February 20.
Makeup day will be Friday, February 24.
REMINDER
- Please put only acceptable recyclables in the new gray container, contamination from other material will raise City cost. All items placed out for collection (bulk trash, yard waste bags, limbs, tires, refuse container, recycling container etc.) should be placed out separately with a minimum of three feet between each item and should be placed at curbside no more than 24 hours before scheduled collection. Please do not mix these items, separate trucks make each collection.
City ordinance requires that you place leaves and grass in clear plastic bags for collection. Please place bags in a large pile rather than a line along the curb for easier collection.
Contractor waste of any (yard waste, limbs, logs and all building materials) must be removed by the contractor. The City is not responsible for collection of contractor waste.
