If your scheduled collection day falls on a holiday, your garbage, bulk trash, bulk limbs, yardwaste, and tires will be collected on the Wednesday of that week. If your every other week recycling collection is scheduled on the holiday, it will also be collected on the Wednesday of that week. The holiday collection schedule is published in the newspaper and is available to you through the 311 Customer Call Center.
Bulk limbs are limbs and brush no larger than 5 inches in diameter and 5 feet in length. They are collected on the same day as your regular garbage.
Limbs, branches, and brush must be no larger than 5 inches in diameter or 5 feet in length for processing. Larger materials will not fit in the machine.
Bulk limbs, brush, and branches can be placed curbside for collection as early as 3 p.m. on the day before your scheduled collection day. They need to be curbside by 7 a.m. to insure you will receive prompt service.
Hampton residents can take them to the landfill for disposal if they are oversize.
If a contractor removed it they are responsible for disposal. Hampton residents can take stumps to the landfill but must off-load it themselves at the site.
The contractor is always responsible for the disposal. You pay for the service in the price they charge you for the work.
Limbs, brush, and branches should be put in an area that is not under low power lines, is not blocked by vehicles or poles, and not near fences or mailboxes that can be damaged during collection.
Each item is collected by a different vehicle and the limb collection arm may damage other items or your property if they are too close together.
