What To SeeGardensThis "real-life" display of how you can enhance your own backyard into a space that will attract and shelter wildlife is a must-see for anyone who loves the outdoors. ![]() Park Wildlife
Wildlife CenterA number of wild animals that would not be able to survive in the wild for one reason or another reside permanently here at the park. They form a vital part of our thriving educational program, helping over 4000 students a year gain a greater understanding of - and appreciation for - the natural world. For the safety of the animals, the compound is not open to the general public. Special tours can be arranged, or you can check the monthly schedule of programs which usually lists at least two Sunday Nature Hikes that include a tour of this facility. ![]() Please note that Sandy Bottom Nature Park does not take in animals for rehabilitation except under rare circumstances - our role is to provide a safe and secure home to our current residents and use their presence for public education. |
