Funding assistance is designed to improve the overall sustainability of the neighborhood through increasing property values. The following types
of renovations, additions and modifications may be eligible for funding assistance.
- Front exterior façade renovations: Work that would restore a home to its original exterior character or create the appropriate exterior
character of the home that does not currently meet the
Design Guidelines for Hampton Neighborhoods, through the addition
of a porch, new siding, decorative trim, landscaping and/or site improvements.
- Modernization: Interior alterations that improve the marketability of a home through updating kitchens and bathrooms, creating master
bedroom suites, or improving storage space. This work must be done in conjunction with front exterior façade improvements if the home does not
currently meet the
Design Guidelines for Hampton Neighborhoods.
- Additions: Additions that improve marketability through the addition of bathrooms, master bedroom suites, family rooms, eat-in kitchens,
bedrooms, storage space, and/or laundry rooms. This work must be done in conjunction with front exterior façade improvements if the home does
not currently meet the
Design Guidelines for Hampton Neighborhoods.
- Accessory Structures: garages, fences, and other similar accessory structures that capture the character of the neighborhood are visible
from the street. This work must be done in conjunction with front exterior façade improvements if the home does not currently meet the
Design Guidelines for Hampton Neighborhoods.
