Annual Fish Fry

The Hampton Senior Center on Kecoughtan Road was the scene in August as patrons waited so patiently to purchase over 370 hot lunches at the Hampton TRIAD’s annual fish fry fundraiser. Nearly 30 TRIAD volunteers pitched in for six hours at several different stations as fish was prepared, cooked and served. This year’s fundraiser was the largest ever as TRIAD members sold tickets and the news of the event spread throughout the community. The Hampton TRIAD is a partnership between the Sheriff’s Office, Police Department, Fire Department, Hampton Parks and Recreation, senior citizens and senior service providers. TRIAD’s primary focus is to reduce both criminal victimization and unwarranted fear of crime affecting older persons.
